Post- machine operator ( ITI )

Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Setup and Operation:

Set up machines (e.g., CNC machines, injection molding machines, lathes, presses) according to the specifications provided in job orders or production schedules.

Adjust machine settings, tools, and components based on the type of production and required output.

Start up machines, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and feed rates to ensure optimal operation.
-
Monitor the operating conditions of machines throughout the production run, making real-time adjustments as necessary to ensure smooth operation.
2. Quality Control and Monitoring:
-
Inspect products during production to ensure they meet company standards and customer specifications.
-
Conduct routine quality checks (e.g., dimensional, visual inspections) to ensure the machine is producing high-quality products.

Maintain records of production quantities, defect rates, and other quality metrics.

Identify defective parts or machinery malfunctions and take corrective actions, including stopping the machine and notifying the supervisor when necessary.
3. Machine Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts (e.g., tools, blades) as needed to prevent breakdowns.

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machinery such as jams, malfunctions, or quality defects, and implement appropriate corrective actions to minimize downtime.

Assist maintenance personnel with more complex machine repairs and downtime issues when necessary.

Keep the machines in optimal working condition by following a preventative maintenance schedule and reporting any major faults to the maintenance team.
4. Safety and Compliance:

Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures while operating machinery to maintain a safe working environment.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, goggles, and ear protection as required by the workplace.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from debris or hazards that could affect safety or machine performance.

Report safety violations or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.
5. Production Monitoring and Reporting:

Track machine output and ensure production goals are met in accordance with the established schedule.

Document machine performance, including production rates, quality issues, and maintenance logs.

Communicate production delays, equipment issues, and other concerns to the production supervisor to ensure timely resolution and prevent production bottlenecks.

Perform final inspections of products before they leave the work area, ensuring that they are properly labeled and packaged if required.
6. Collaboration and Team Support:

Collaborate with fellow operators, supervisors, and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the production line and adherence to production schedules.

Assist in training new machine operators on the safe and efficient operation of equipment.

Communicate with the team to resolve any issues or challenges that arise during production and suggest process improvements.
