Job Description

Mechanical design engineer with minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design. Candidate should involve in designing of machine parts and in reverse engineering process. Knowledge in Auto cad solid works, and Engineering drawings are must.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development

Mechanical Design Creation: Design mechanical components, systems, or products based on specific customer or project requirements, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.
CAD Modeling: Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical parts and assemblies.
Prototype Design: Develop prototypes for new mechanical designs, perform testing, and refine designs based on test results and feedback.
Design Optimization: Continuously refine designs to improve performance, reduce cost, and ensure manufacturability, reliability, and ease of maintenance.

2. Analysis and Testing

Finite Element Analysis (FEA): Conduct stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics simulations to analyze the performance of mechanical components and ensure they meet functional requirements.
Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials based on the design requirements, such as strength, weight, cost, and environmental factors.
Prototype Testing: Lead or collaborate in testing prototypes, identifying potential issues, and proposing solutions.
Failure Analysis: Investigate design failures and implement corrective actions to enhance future product designs.

3. Collaboration and Communication

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams (electrical, software, etc.) to ensure the overall system integration of mechanical components and products.
Client Interaction: Interact with clients or stakeholders to understand project requirements, offer design solutions, and present final designs.
Teamwork: Collaborate with senior engineers, manufacturers, and quality control teams to ensure the design is manufacturable, meets quality standards, and adheres to budget constraints.

4. Documentation and Reporting

Design Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, technical drawings, and user manuals.
Compliance: Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Change Management: Document design changes and manage revisions to ensure accuracy and traceability.

5. Manufacturing Support

Support Manufacturing: Assist the production team in translating designs into finished products, including helping with tooling, manufacturing processes, and assembly instructions.
Troubleshooting: Address any design-related issues that arise during the manufacturing process, providing solutions to ensure the design is correctly implemented.
