Job Description
Vehicle Inspections:
- Perform regular inspections of vehicles to detect issues and ensure they meet safety regulations.
- Assess and evaluate vehicle performance by conducting tests (e.g., engine, brake, suspension, transmission).
Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:
- Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems.
- Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and determine the most effective solutions.
Repairs and Maintenance:
- Perform repairs and replacements of parts such as engines, brakes, batteries, exhaust systems, and transmission systems.
- Change oil, replace filters, and carry out routine maintenance services.
- Repair or replace damaged body parts and components, such as lights, windows, or air conditioning systems.
Customer Communication:
- Explain vehicle issues and recommended repairs to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
- Provide cost estimates for repairs and obtain customer approval before performing work.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and labor costs for each vehicle.
- Update service histories and ensure compliance with warranty guidelines.
Safety and Cleanliness:
- Adhere to safety procedures while working with tools, equipment, and hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficiency and safety.
Up-to-date Knowledge:
- Stay informed about the latest automotive technology, repair methods, and industry standards.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to improve technical skills.
