Project Title : "Prostrate and Ovarian Cancer detection from innovative use ofantibody libraries, human lectins, exosomes and simple affordable assay platform (PROVATECT)" under supervision of Dr. Sharmila Bapat, Scientist 'F'

Qualification : A qualified candidate should hold Ph.D or expected to hold Ph.D (within 1 year) in the area of life science or equivalent degree or having three years of research experience after MVSc/ MPharm/ ME/ MTech with at least one research paper in peer reviewed journal and strong experience in cell culture techniques. Desirable : We are looking for self -motivated young scientist trained to handle mammalian cell culture who will be responsible for the project as well as contribute to project substantially and independently. Experience in western blotting and protein purification will be preferred.

Desirable : The project is truly interdisciplinary in nature, deeply rooted in areas of systems biology, structure biology and evolutionary biology. I primarily use high throughput experimental approach (e.g. phage display) Candidate with an interest to work in such areas will be strongly favored. Research experience in any (or more) of the areas of microbiology, molecular biology, and structural biology will strengthen the candidature but definitely not a requirement.
