Job Description
- Installing, configuring, and supporting an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet system
- Maintaining network hardware and equipment like routers, switches, firewalls, and servers
- Troubleshooting network problems and outages
- Upgrading networks and monitoring network performance
- Ensuring network security, connectivity, speed, and availability
- Designing and rolling out network architectures, topologies, hardware, and software
- Managing network infrastructure changes and updates
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Conduct regular network performance tests and ensure high levels of data quality and reliability.
- Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
