Minimum Education Qualification
- Full Time Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university in relevant discipline.
Period of Training
- One Year
Stipend per month (In Rs.)
- 15028/-
Other Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum Age Limit; As per apprenticeship Act 1961 sec 3(a)n should have completed 18 Years of age
- Maximum Age; should not have completed 35 Years of Age.
- Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam in the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 or 2024.
- Candidate belonging to the State of Rajasthan are only eligible.
- Candidate should not have undergone or presently undergoing Apprenticeship Training in NLC India Limited or elsewhere.
- Candidate should not have experience of one year or more in any job.

Age Limit
- The minimum age of the candidates should be 37 years and the maximum age of the candidates should not exceed 42 years.
Selection Process
- The selection process will be based on a merit basis and a Written test.
General instructions to the Candidates:
- Candidate has to arrive at the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examinations as stated above in the application form (also provide the proof of conversion formula if any along with the application).
- Overstatement of Marks by the candidates will lead to disqualification of the candidates from selection process
- In case of more than one candidate scoring the same percentage of marks at the cut-off level, the senior most candidates will be considered for selection, based on the date of birth.
- Any misrepresentation /forgery of facts in the qualifying examination will lead to direct disqualification and may face consequences.

The Company is also operating 4 Lignite based pit-head Thermal Power Stations with an aggregate capacity of 3390 Mega Watt (MW) at Neyveli and one 250 MW Lignite based Thermal Power Station (BTPS) at Barsingsar, Rajasthan. A 1000 MW Coal based Thermal Power Station is also in operation at Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu through its subsidiary company, NLC Tamilnadu Power Limited (NTPL), a Joint Venture between NLCIL and TANGEDCO (equity participation in the ratio of 89:11).
NLCIL has also forayed into renewable energy sector. Presently, the Company is operating 1380 MW of Solar Power Plants in various Districts of Tamilnadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and 51 MW Wind Power Plant in Tirunelveli district of Tamilnadu. NLCIL is the first CPSE to cross 1 GW capacity in Solar Power Generation in the country. Now the Company has become a member of International Solar Alliance (ISA). NLCIL is aiming to achieve a total Renewable energy capacity of 6031MW by 2030.
NLCIL has big dreams to become a 17,171 MW company by 2030. Towards realizing this dream, NLCIL is already on expansion mode. NLCIL's JV with the Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL) is setting up a 3x660 MW Coal based Thermal Power Station at Ghatampur in UP. Talabira-II & III Coal Mine (20 MTPA) in Odisha.Unit#1 was synchronised with grid on 04.12.2023
NLCIL has entered into coal mine projects and has been allotted Talabira-II & III OCP of 20 MTPA capacity in Odisha and Pachwara South Coal Block of 9 MTPA capacity in Jharkhand and Won the North Dhadu (Western Part) of 3 MTPA Capacity Coal block in Commercial Coal block auctioning.
Coal production in Talabira-II & III OCP (20 MTPA) was commenced on 26.04.2020 & mines attained COD on 01.04.2021. The Mine started to supply coal to its end use Plant, NTPL TPS, Thoothukudi and now supplies coal to NTPC Thermal Power Stations.
Project activities are in full swing at Pachwara South Coal Block (9 MTPA) with an anticipated commissioning by 2024-25.
A coal-based pit-head TPS of 3200 MW at Talabira by way of installation of new plants is under implementation. Land Acquisition is in process.
Further, a JV Company, 'Coal Lignite Urja Vikas Private Limited' (CLUVPL) was incorporated on 10.11.2020 with Coal India Limited (equity participation in the ratio of 50:50). In addition, NLCIL plans to install number of Solar/Wind Power Projects at various parts of the Country.
Wholly Owned Subsidiary Company, 'NLC India Renewables Limited' has been incorporated on 14.06.2023 to take over existing renewable assets of NLCIL.
On 13th October 2023, 'NLC India Green Energy Limited' (NIGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NLCIL was incorporated to undertake future renewable energy projects of NLCINot just Mining and Power Generation, NLCIL has contributed significantly to the Socio-Economic development of the Nation for more than six decades.
