Job Description
Wildster is an online marketplace that connects parents and kids with educators all around the world. Our purpose is to inspire kids to learn and participate in extra-curricular activities online and within their local communities.
Wildster was born in response to the massive shut down of schools and businesses across the globe in fears of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are revolutionizing the after-school program's industry by giving online and local instructors a modern platform that enables them to teach effectively. We're a friendly, motivated, and passionate group looking for more smiling faces to join us. We’re growing fast and looking to add to our Product team.
This position is full-time and 100% remote.

Your responsibilities
- As a senior engineer, you will be expected to build and deliver large and complex projects end-to-end, with or without the involvement of other team members.
- Be the go-to person for the team for guidance and troubleshooting.
- Proactively participate in code reviews, architecture, and design discussions.
- Ensuring timely delivery of all product deliverables.
- Mentoring junior engineers and setting best practices for coding, code reviews, etc.
- Ensuring performance and scalability in all new product features being developed.
We are looking for
- 3+ years of expertise in Node.js development
- 3+ years of JavaScript experience
- 4+ years of server-side development experience
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript ES5/ES6 | TypeScript.
- Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience in building solutions on top of AWS such as Lambda, API Gateway, Knowledge of CI/CD tools, and workflows
- Knowledge of Node.js concepts (Such as event loop, cluster, memory management)
- Knowledge of building RESTful web services
- Strong experience with development methodologies such as XP, Agile or SCRUM
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills
Nice to have
- It is good to have Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker and related deployment technologies.
- Ability to drive design/architectural path
- Web application security best practices and knowledge of common application security vulnerabilities XSS, SQL injection, etc
