Job Description

The Nursing Staff position is responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards and regulations. The incumbent will work under the supervision of registered nurses to deliver compassionate and effective care to patients of all ages.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Patient care: Admitting and discharging patients, providing personal care, and assisting with medical examinations

Monitoring: Taking vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, and observing and recording them

Administering medication: Giving injections and administering medications

Assisting with procedures: Helping with intravenous injections, infusions, and transfusions, as well as technical procedures like oxygen therapy and enemas

Teaching: Teaching patients and their families about their condition, medications, and self-care skills

Counseling: Providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families

Organizing: Planning and organizing workloads, and supervising junior staff

Record keeping: Writing records and maintaining registers

Other duties: Assisting with physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and ambulation, and preparing patients for discharg
