Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Online Guitar Instructor to teach students of all skill levels through virtual platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of guitar playing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage students in an online learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning & Instruction:
- Conduct live online guitar lessons via Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, or other virtual platforms.
- Teach students beginner, intermediate, and advanced guitar techniques, including chords, scales, fingerpicking, strumming, and improvisation.
- Customize lessons based on students' skill levels, goals, and musical preferences.
- Provide structured learning plans to help students track their progress.
- Demonstrate proper posture, hand positioning, and playing techniques to improve students' performance.
Student Engagement & Support:
- Keep students motivated by teaching them songs and genres they love (rock, blues, jazz, classical, etc.).
- Offer feedback and constructive criticism to help students improve.
- Assign home practice exercises, sheet music, or online resources for continuous learning.
- Conduct Q&A sessions and interactive discussions to enhance engagement.
Technical & Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain lesson schedules and student attendance records.
- Use online tools for recording lessons, sharing learning materials, and tracking progress.
- Assist students in choosing the right guitar, accessories, and online resources.
- Stay updated with the latest teaching techniques, guitar trends, and music software.
Requirements:
- Education: No formal degree required (Certification in Music or Guitar Training is a plus).
- Experience: Experience in guitar teaching, tutoring, or professional playing is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong guitar-playing skills in various genres.
- Excellent verbal communication and teaching abilities.
- Ability to engage and motivate students in an online setting.
- Basic knowledge of music theory, sight-reading, and ear training.
- Comfortable using online teaching platforms and digital tools.
- Equipment: Reliable internet connection, webcam, microphone, and good-quality guitar.

I'm Anubhav, a guitarist/producer and founder of the Indian Guitar School. Apart from managing, I'm also active as an instructor.
All the instructors in the school are active musicians, thus we have a teaching framework that promotes musicianship and doesn't get in the way of your live or studio gigs.
When I first started teaching guitar online during the pandemic, I discovered something surprising: online lessons weren't just a temporary fix – they were solving a long-standing problem.
The biggest challenge in learning guitar isn't the instrument itself; it's fitting it into your already busy life.
Most of our students are juggling work, school, family, and everything in between. Traditional in-person lessons, while valuable, often become the first casualty.
When you take into account weather, traffic, and other unexpected events, guitar lessons are always the first to get canceled—trust me!
While some cancellations are unavoidable (which is why we don't charge for them), most can be easily managed with our hassle-free rescheduling process.
That’s why flexibility is at the heart of our online guitar school. We've made it easier than ever to stay consistent.
Removing the logistical barriers of traditional lessons means you can focus on what really matters.
Still at the core of it is the hard work that a student needs to put in, practicing every single day does test your self-commitment!
