Job Description
Payment Processing:
Receive and review daily bank statements, lockbox deposits, and electronic payments.
Match incoming payments with corresponding invoices and customer accounts.
Accurately post payments to customer accounts within the accounting system.
Identify and investigate unapplied or misapplied payments.
Customer/Collection Interaction:
Contact customers regarding missing remittance information or payment issues.
Escalate complex payment issues to relevant departments as needed.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate reports on cash application activity, including aging receivables and unapplied payments.
