We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and coating applications within the industrial sector. Roles and Responsibilities of a Painter
1. Surface Preparation:
o Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting, ensuring they are free of dust, dirt, grease, and old paint.
o Inspect surfaces for imperfections and repair any damages before applying paint.
2. Mixing and Applying Paint:
o Mix paints, stains, and finishes according to specified standards and product requirements.
o Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring an even and smooth finish.
3. Quality Control:
o Examine finished surfaces for quality assurance, ensuring they meet company standards and customer expectations.
o Perform touch-ups and rework as necessary to achieve the desired finish and durability.
4. Adherence to Safety Protocols:
o Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while handling paints and solvents.
o Use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety while working with chemicals and during spray operations.
5. Maintenance of Equipment:
o Maintain painting equipment, tools, and workspace in clean and safe conditions.
o Report any malfunctions or equipment issues promptly.
6. Inventory Management:
o Assist in managing inventory of paint supplies and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels.
o Notify supervisors when supplies are low or when reordering is needed.
7. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with other team members and departments to coordinate painting schedules and project timelines.
o Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers regarding project progress and any challenges encountered.
8. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of work completed, including material usage, time spent, and any issues encountered.
o Prepare reports for supervisors on project milestones and material consumption.
9. Training and Development:
o Participate in training programs to stay updated on new techniques, materials, and safety practices in the paint industry.
o Mentor and train less experienced staff as needed.
10. Customer Interaction:
o Occasionally interact with customers to discuss specifications and preferences regarding paint jobs.
o Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship and responsiveness to feedback.
Key Skills and Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training with 02 years of experience in painting preferred.
· Knowledge of different types of paints and their applications. As well as good knowledge of DFT - WFT - Paint Mixing.
· Good knowledge of Blasting.
· Proven experience as a painter in the industrial sector.
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
· Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
· Physical stamina and dexterity to handle tools and equipment.
· Airless and air paint sprayer guns as versatile painting experiences.
