Job Summary: A pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescription medications to patients, providing advice on the safe use of medications, and ensuring proper medication management. Pharmacists also play a key role in health education, counseling patients on proper medication usage, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispense prescription medications accurately and ensure proper labeling.
Counsel patients on the safe and effective use of prescribed medications.
Review prescriptions for accuracy and potential drug interactions.
Provide information and recommendations to healthcare providers on medication therapy management.
Monitor patient progress, and provide recommendations for therapy adjustments when necessary.
Keep accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and medication histories.
Participate in drug utilization reviews and medication therapy management programs.
Offer advice on over-the-counter (OTC) medications and assist patients in selecting the appropriate product.
Maintain inventory control, order medications, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
