Job Description: As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medication for our patients. You will be responsible for dispensing prescription medications, offering drug information, advising patients on proper medication use, and working alongside our healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications and provide instructions for use.
- Review and verify prescription orders for correctness and appropriateness.
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and possible drug interactions.
- Provide immunizations and other clinical services as required.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote patient safety and well-being.
- Monitor patient health conditions and provide advice on proper treatment regimens.
- Keep abreast of the latest pharmaceutical research and updates in drug therapies.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Participate in inventory management and order supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
- Current state licensure as a Pharmacist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical practices.
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.
