Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Planning Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's planning activities. This includes developing and implementing strategic plans, coordinating departmental planning efforts, and ensuring alignment with the organization's overall goals. The role involves data analysis, forecasting, and collaboration with various departments to ensure effective planning and resource allocation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives in alignment with the Project Goals, organization's goals.
· Analyze labor & material trends, historical data, and other relevant information to create accurate forecasts and projections.
· Manage and allocate resources efficiently to optimize productivity and achieve organizational goals.
· Develop and oversee budgets for planning activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
· Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of planning activities and alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
· Prepare and present detailed reports on planning activities, progress, and outcomes to senior management.
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and effectiveness.
· Assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on planning and organizational performance.
· Manage and mentor site teams, providing guidance & support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and master's in Construction Management
or a related field
5-8 years of experience in project planning/scheduling, with a focus on the
real estate construction industry
Proficiency in project management
software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and MS Excel is a must
Proven track record of successful project planning and scheduling residential
construction projects
Ability to work effectively in a team
environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• To study the drawings, tender and specifications and administer the project
based on same. Forecasting requirement of resources.
• To ensure compliance with planning, organizing resources, setting standards
of quality, etc.
• To monitor the project execution progress based on the actual Vs planned.
Highlight the deviations for proactive measures of damage control.
• To minimize wastage of construction material. Coach subordinates to develop
the teams capabilities and build a strong succession pipeline for the role.
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all
relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Collect management requirements and transform it into projects pipeline
• Work with resource management on resource planning, availability and
allocation according to projects pipeline
• Based on provided scope and requirements translate them into tasks, schedule
and assign tasks
• Work with team on project work to keep project going according to schedule
• Communicate to the management changes
to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
• Track and analyze project performance, cost performance, schedule and report
to the management on the changes project scope, project schedule, and project
costs, being able to suggest the improvements to all the above.
• Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope
