Job Description
- 1-6 years of experience in PR (preferably education) or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, PR, or similar.- Strong writing, editing, and project management skills.
- Proven experience in content creation, media relations and event management.
- Ability to work well across teams and handle multiple priorities effectively.
Responsibilities may include:
Creating and implementing PR plans: Assisting with the development and implementation of PR strategies and plans
Writing communication materials: Writing press releases, blogs, opinion pieces, social media posts, and other communication materials
Researching and pitching stories: Researching and creating newsworthy stories to pitch to media outlets
Managing media relations: Developing and maintaining relationships with media representatives, bloggers, and influencers
Monitoring media placements: Monitoring media placements and publicity
Representing the company: Representing the company at online conferences and other digital events
Maintaining calendars: Maintaining calendars of important dates and media lists
Reporting: Monthly reporting on communication activities
