Job Title: Procurement Officer / Specialist
Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Reports To: Procurement Manager / Supply Chain Manager
Job Summary:
The Procurement Officer / Specialist is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing goods and services, negotiating supplier contracts, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and evaluate potential vendors, comparing offers and negotiating terms.
Create and issue purchase orders, track orders, and ensure timely delivery.
Enter order details into internal systems and maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and invoices.
Monitor stock levels and place orders to maintain inventory.
Coordinate with warehouse staff for proper storage and manage product quality.
Prepare purchase reports, including cost analysis and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal standards, and risk management practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (preferred) and experience in procurement or supply chain.
Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills.
Familiarity with procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Knowledge of procurement laws and cost control strategies.
