Quant - Management Trainee
Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quant - Management Trainee (Quant - MT) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of quantitative finance, risk model development, credit risk management, banking regulations and reporting with proficiency in programming languages such as Python/R etc.
As a Quant - MT, you will play a crucial role in supporting various quantitative risk analysis, developing & implementing risk models and methodologies to support our risk management strategies and ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Supporting various quantitative risk analysis, aspects of model risk management (first line and second line) and regulations.
Producing quantitative analysis to support the team in conducting model implementation, monitoring and validation.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, model validation and governance teams.
Conduct thorough analysis of large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and potential risks, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
Deliver high quality client services, including model documentations, within expected time frames.
Analyze and assess financial and operational risks, evaluating their potential impact on the organization.
Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to identify, measure, and monitor risk exposures.
Develop and maintain risk models to predict and manage various risk factors, including market risks.
Prepare and present detailed risk reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
Ensure that the organization complies with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Master's or Ph.D. degree in quantitative finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science or a related field.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, R, or MATLAB, with experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Certification such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is a plus.
