Record to Report Processor Jobs in Chennai - For a Client of Teamlease Digital
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End and Year-End Close:
- Manage the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
- Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate accounting for all financial transactions.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all financial discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Prepare trial balances and other supporting documents as needed for audits and internal reviews.
- General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and update the general ledger (GL) with all appropriate transactions.
- Ensure the proper posting of financial transactions to relevant accounts.
- Perform periodic reviews to ensure accurate and up-to-date GL records.
- Reconciliations:
- Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet items such as cash, bank, and intercompany accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliations.
- Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable) to resolve reconciling items.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Assist in the preparation of reports and analyses for management, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure financial reports are prepared accurately, timely, and in accordance with deadlines.
- Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and review of internal and external audits.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Variance Analysis:
- Perform variance analysis between actuals and forecasts/budget, identifying and explaining discrepancies.
- Provide insights to management regarding financial performance and recommend improvements where applicable.
- Process Improvement:
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Record to Report process.
- Identify automation opportunities and efficiencies within the R2R cycle.
- Document processes and ensure all financial reporting procedures are adhered to.
- Intercompany Transactions:
- Oversee intercompany transactions, ensuring proper accounting treatment and timely settlement.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and ensure alignment with corporate policies.
- Tax and Regulatory Reporting:
- Assist with tax reporting requirements and ensure that taxes are accurately accounted for in the books.
- Support regulatory reporting and filings, including VAT/GST, corporate tax returns, and other local tax requirements.
- Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Work closely with finance teams, internal audit, tax, and external auditors to ensure all financial data is accurate and complete.
- Support other business functions by providing necessary financial data and insights as required.
