Project Assistant Life Science Job vacancies in Regional Centre for Biotechnology
Title of Project: “Understanding the Role of Exocyst Complex in Cell Division and Development in Caenorhabditis elegans”.
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc/ M.Tech/ MPharm or an equivalent degree in any area of biological sciences/ life sciences, minimum 60% marks in Bachelors and Masters exams. Desirable qualifications: Prior research experience in one or more of molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, developmental biology, genetics with a strong aptitude and motivation for research is highly desirable. Experience/ training in one or more of C elegans maintenance and techniques, animal cell culture, molecular cloning, and microscopy is desirable. The person should be a team player, with excellent inter personal skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize activities

Fellowship: Rs. 12,000/- per month
Duration: Initially for six months and may be extended after evaluation until the completion of the project.

Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), an institution of education, training and research is established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India under the auspices of UNESCO. The Centre will focus on cooperatively working towarvds shared biotechnology growth in the Asia-Pacific Region. Regional interactions in biotechnology will promote co-operation amongst the countries to develop necessary infrastructure and capacity building for economic benefit of our societies. The Centre would be beneficial in developing knowledge rich, highly skilled human resource to all countries in the region. RCB will be part of the Biotech Science Cluster (BSC) and will operate in synergy with the other institutions in the Cluster.
