Research Associate /JRF life Sciences recruitment in Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar.
Position-1: Research Associate life Sciences/ 01 in the field of Molecular virology and Virus-host interaction
Eligibility and Selection: Ph. D. in life sciences and allied subjects. The desirable candidate should have experience in molecular virology, virus-host interactions, cell biology and biochemistry and well versed with techniques pertinent to molecular virology and cell biology such as molecular cloning, FACs, cell culture, virus propagation, confocal microscopy, protein, and nucleic acid biochemistry. A decent publication record from Ph.D. work is expected. Candidates who have submitted Ph.D. thesis and are waiting for defense/viva voce may also apply. But for such candidates, fellowship amount will be that of an SRF until he/she defends thesis. Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.
Fellowship: Rs. 36000/- per month (plus HRA).
Position-2: Junior Research Fellow /01 position
DST-SERB ECR project entitled ‘Unravelling the molecular mechanisms underlying Hepatitis C virus morphogenesis and secretion’.
Eligibility and Selection: Masters in life sciences and allied branches and having secured 60% aggregate marks (50% for OBC/ST/SC) are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates having NET-JRF/NETLS/GATE qualification with research experience in molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry. Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.
Fellowship: Rs. 12000/- per month (plus HRA) as per the DST-SERB norms.
