Project Title : “Atmospheric studies in the geophysically sensitive tropical to sub-tropical transition region with ST Radar Facilities at Calcutta University”
1. Research Scientist
Qualification : Ph.D. degree in Radio Physics and Electronics or Atmospheric Science or Physics or related field with published work in the field of upper and lower atmospheric studies. Candidates within two years of their Ph.D. will be given preference.
2. Engineer
Qualification : M.Tech. in Radio Physics and Electronics/M.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent with specialization/exposure to Digital Signal Processing, Software Development and at least 75% marks at Masters level.
3. Junior Engineer
Qualification : B.Tech. in Radio Physics and Electronics/B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent with specialization/exposure to RF and antenna and at least 75% marks at the Bachelors level.

The University of Calcutta was
established by an Act of the Legislative Council (Act No II of 1857) of
the then British India. A supplementary Act empowering the University
to confer some additional degrees was passed in 1860. Another Act was
passed in 1884 by which the University was authorised to confer honorary
Degree of Law.The University Act of 1904 empowered the University to
make necessary arrangements for the instruction of students, and though
most of the teaching continued to be imparted in the affiliated
colleges, teaching in some of the higher branches began to be organised
under the University management.The Calcutta University Act, 1951, which
came into operation from March, 1954 brought about important changes in
the constitution and character of the University. The Act provided for
