Job Description

The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for accurately processing customer payments and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly assistance.
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Provide accurate information about menu items and promotions.
Payment Processing:
- Accurately handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily sales.
Cash Handling:
- Follow proper cash handling procedures to prevent theft and loss.
- Secure cash and other valuables according to restaurant policies.
General Duties:
- Assist with table bussing and cleaning as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a customer service role preferred.
Basic math skills.
