Job Description

Role Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual for the position of Retail Store Manager - Finance and Operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in store management coupled with proficiency in accounts management to ensure the smooth daily operations and financial health of our store. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle various responsibilities ranging from maintaining statutory books to overseeing service and expense records.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:

  • Maintain statutory books of accounts for the store, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Ensure on-time reporting of sales, inventory, and other relevant data (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly).

  • Maintain opening and closing cash at the store, following strict cash handling procedures.

  • Generate invoices for customers, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

  • Facilitate timely and accurate monthly closing of accounts.

  • Give reminders to customers regarding pending payments.

2. Inventory Management:
  • Maintain daily stock records, including updates, reviews, and reports.

  • Oversee monthly inventories and annual stock takes.

  • Take ultimate responsibility for stock levels and accuracy.

3. Customer Service:
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding products and services, addressing inquiries and concerns.
4. Store Operations:
  • Take ultimate responsibility for the overall maintenance of the store, including cleanliness and customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail store management (preferred). For freshers, a strong academic background in business or accounting and a demonstrably keen interest in retail operations will be considered.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Good Knowledge in Tally preferred)

  • Experience with maintaining statutory books of accounts (a plus).

  • Proficiency in MS office tools, especially MS Word & MS Excel

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
