Position Summary: The sales and operation executive is responsible for driving sales, generating and converting potential leads into sales, designing and organizing travel experiences for clients, including booking flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities, and creating travel itineraries. They must know various destinations, travel packages, and industry trends, and ensure that clients' travel arrangements align with their preferences, budgets, and schedules. They are also required to stay up-to-date with the latest travel regulations, deals, and trends to offer the best possible options to their clients.
Sales and Operations Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities and convert potential leads into business.
Achieve sales and operational targets as decided by management.
Handle domestic and international group inquiries, including organizing and coordinating flight, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, and other travel services.
Research and negotiate with travel vendors/suppliers for the best possible rates and packages.
Efficiently communicate inbound calls/emails/inquiries, and respond to customers within the timeline.
Develop and manage new and existing clients while providing a high level of service.
Promote seasonal travel packages to existing clients through emails/WhatsApp and obtain leads.
Possess in-depth destination and product knowledge to drive revenue generation.
Accompany groups of travelers at the travel destination and lead the entire trip as needed.
Document and maintain records of clients payments, invoices, and other travel-related bookings in a timely and accurate manner.
Educate clients regarding useful travel information, guidelines, local customs, currencies, cancellation policy, refunds, or any penalties.
Assist clients with passport applications and obtaining visas for foreign travel or any emergency travel assistance.
Regularly update and maintain up-to-date customer databases and periodical sales/statistical records.
Communicate with internal stakeholders for inter-related operational transactions.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Educational:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in travel, tourism, hospitality, or business.
Relevant certifications like IATA/UFTAA, TAAI, or IITC may be accepted.
A relevant diploma with 2 years of experience may also be considered.
Functional Skills:
Knowledge of various travel aspects (currencies, customs, transportation, destinations, documentation, etc.).
Strong understanding and knowledge of airline reservations, business models, and travel software.
Exposure to B2B business models in the tourism industry.
Soft Skills:
Ability to work independently while producing tangible results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong negotiation and sales skills.
Proficiency in the English language.
Passionate about traveling and tourism.
Highly self-motivated and ambitious in achieving results.
