Job Overview:
A Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers, driving sales, and ensuring a great shopping experience. They work in retail stores, corporate sales teams, or business-to-business (B2B) environments, helping customers find products, answering questions, and meeting sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Assistance & Sales:
- Greet customers and help them find products that meet their needs.
- Provide information about product features, pricing, and offers.
- Suggest additional products to increase sales (upselling & cross-selling).
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any concerns.
2. Sales Target & Performance:
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets set by the company.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, invoices, and customer interactions.
- Provide feedback on customer preferences and product demand.
3. Store Maintenance & Stock Management:
- Arrange and restock shelves to keep the store organized.
- Ensure product displays are attractive and updated.
- Assist in managing inventory, pricing, and promotions.
4. Billing & Payment Handling:
- Process purchases using cash registers, POS systems, or online payment methods.
- Assist customers with refunds, exchanges, and billing issues.
5. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Collect customer feedback and address concerns to improve service.
- Follow up with customers for repeat business and loyalty programs.
