Job Description

Job Title/Position:  Sales Manager

Job Overview:

The Sales Manager will lead the company's sales team, overseeing the strategy, planning, and execution of sales operations. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic sales plans, and managing sales teams to meet company goals. The Sales Manager works closely with marketing, product development, and executive teams to align sales efforts with the company’s overall objectives.

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Merchant Acquisition & Onboarding: Identify, pitch, and onboard new merchants to the e-commerce platform, focusing on maximizing their presence and sales through Swiggy, Zomato, and other food delivery platforms.

·         Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth for merchants across food delivery platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals.

·         Revenue Growth: Drive revenue by identifying growth opportunities, increasing merchant participation, and implementing pricing strategies in coordination with business goals.

·         Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and merchant needs within the food delivery and e-commerce industries.

·         Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key merchant partners, offering them regular support to improve their sales performance.

·         Performance Monitoring: Track merchant performance metrics (sales volume, customer feedback, delivery timelines), providing data-driven insights to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

·         Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, customer service, and operations to ensure seamless integration and execution of sales strategies.

 

Qualifications:

·         Experience: 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, merchant management, or platform management.

·         Specific experience with ONDC, Swiggy, or Zomato is highly preferred.

 

Relevant Skills:

·         Understanding of APIs, open-source networks, and platform integration.

·         Familiarity with logistics and supply chain management in digital commerce.

·         Experience in merchant onboarding and performance optimization.

·         Proven ability to manage merchant relationships and negotiate contracts.

·         Strong leadership, team management, and strategic planning skills.

·         Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
