Education:Bachelor of Science / Diploma Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any technology stream.
Required Experience:Typically this requires 3-5 years of experience in software configuration management, software or systems engineering, software project management, or software quality assurance.

SCM Engineer Desired Skill set:

Must haves (Proficiency)
Design, develop, implement and support high-quality software build systems /Introduce new techniques and technologies for new build systems and evolve existing systems /Develop build scripts and tools for builds, using most appropriate languages and technologies

Integrate automated builds and build artifacts into test environments, unit test harnesses, and code analysis tools
Provide estimates and manage own schedule at component/sub-system level , Manage build machines, servers, and build environments, and understands security concepts and processes for build systems
Well-honed SCM skills and expert understanding of the Software Configuration Management.
Ability to perform complex SCM tasks.
A strong understanding of the software development life cycle and software development methodologies (requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools, version control, testing and QA, and deployment).
Knowledgeable with open source tools and technologies and can use/extend them where appropriate to develop solutions.
Stay abreast of the latest in build technologies like Jenkins, Building in the Cloud and Git
A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
Must have a service-oriented attitude with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and highly focused.
Ability to thrive in a changing environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple priorities.
Provide design and implementation guidance and tutoring as necessary to team members in best practices, tool use, and quality assurance

Good to Have:

CI/CD Experience
Cloud Engineering: Contribute to the movement towards Azure/AWS, Private Cloud(OpenStack, CloudStack, etc ) based hosting and architecture, work on a platform that allows development teams to push their code changes into production instances in mere minutes without any downtime.
