Within an Agile framework, the Associate Scrum Master serves as a facilitator for cross-functional
software Scrum teams. As a member of a Scrum team, we will train the Scrum Master to be jointly
responsible for ensuring all projects support the company's overall strategy and goals.
Responsibilities :
- Specialize in servant leadership and team building, and remove impediments to productivity. This includes empowering the team, blocking distractions and enabling close cooperation between
- Technology and other areas of the business to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals can be met.
- Strongly serve the Product Owner and Development Team in their quest to do everything possible to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Guide teams in Scrum practices, values, and self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by engaging the right personnel to remove the impediment.
- Build a trusting and safe environment with an emphasis on problem solving without blame.
- Lead teams through goal setting and action plans during Retrospectives to facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating work. Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
- Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information.
- Communicate project needs, priorities, and status to leaders and members of other departments.
- Support and educate the Product Owner and Product Team, especially with respect to story mapping, story grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
- Track and report on project milestones and provide sprint metric reports.
- Become a subject matter expert and thought leader in all Agile frameworks.
