Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive industry experience, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage complex financial operations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical skills and a proven track record in managing financial processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Reporting: Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts; monitor expenditures and report variances.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Audit Coordination: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and financial reports.
• General Ledger: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment and collection.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement.
• Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation.
• Advanced Degree: MBA in Finance or Accounting.
• Technology Savvy: Experience with advanced financial software and ERP systems.
