Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper financial record-keeping.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

Taxation & Compliance

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, GST, and corporate tax filings.
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies for financial audits.
Keep up to date with financial laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and reconciliation of bank statements.

Financial Analysis & Decision Support

Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Assist in strategic financial planning and risk management.

Leadership & Team Management

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or CMA is a plus).
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, or Oracle).
Advanced MS Excel skills for financial reporting and data analysis.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in financial auditing.
Knowledge of ERP systems.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Work Environment:

Full-time position.
Office-based or hybrid work environment.
Collaboration with finance and management teams
