Job Description
Job Summary
A Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, leading a team of sales professionals, and developing strategies to achieve revenue targets. This role involves business development, client relationship management, sales forecasting, and team leadership to ensure a high-performance sales operation.
- Lead the development and implementation of the sales strategy to achieve revenue goals, focusing on diversifying income streams.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing donors, corporate sponsors, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Lead and manage the sales team to ensure the successful execution of fundraising and sales objectives.
- Prepare regular sales reports for leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business goals.
- Identify and explore new markets, industries, and customer segments.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and decision-makers.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competition.
2. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales executives and account managers.
- Set sales targets and KPIs, ensuring team members meet or exceed them.
- Conduct training programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
- Provide performance feedback, coaching, and motivation to the team.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Develop long-term relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Understand customer needs and tailor solutions to meet their requirements.
- Handle negotiations, contract discussions, and deal closures effectively.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
4. Sales Operations & Reporting
- Monitor sales metrics, pipeline progress, and revenue forecasts.
- Prepare sales reports, presentations, and performance analysis for senior management.
- Ensure CRM systems and databases are updated with accurate sales data.
- Optimize sales processes and workflows for efficiency and productivity.
5. Market Expansion & Competitive Analysis
- Analyze competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market dynamics.
- Develop innovative sales campaigns and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales strategies with branding efforts.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and alliances to drive business growth.
