Job Description
Applications are invited for filling up the following vacant post on deputation basis on usual terms and conditions as prescribed bv DOP&T.
A. Post Name: Senior Translator
B. Classification: General Central Service Group 'B' Non-Gazetted! Non-Ministerial Posts .
C.Level as per 7th epc : Level 7
D. Eligibility for deputation:
a) Officers from the Central/ State Governments/UTs:
(i) Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/ department; or
(ij) with 5 years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in I..evel6 (Rs.35,400/- - Rs.1,12,400/-); and
E. Note 1 : The Departmental officers in the feeder category wHo are in the direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly. the deputationist shall not be eligible for consldera tion for appoinnnent by promotion.
F. Note 2: Period of deputation Including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/ department of the Central Government shall ordina rily not exceed three years. The Maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be 'Not exceeding 56 years' as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
G.Educational qualifications and other qualificatlons:
Essential: Master's degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level ; OR Master's degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level ; Master's degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR Masters degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Ilindi or English.With English medium and Ilindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level; OR Master's degree of a recognized University in anv subject Other than Hindi or English. With ilindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or cither of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level :
AND Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice- versa or three years' experience of translation work from Ilindi to English and vice versa in a Central or State Government office, including Government Of India Undertaking.
Age Limit:
The Maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be 'Not exceeding S6 years' as on the closing date of receipt of applications
