Job Overview

A Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care, monitoring health conditions, administering medications, and assisting doctors in medical procedures. They play a crucial role in ensuring patient well-being and supporting healthcare operations in hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Care & Monitoring

Provide compassionate and professional care to patients.
Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.
Assist patients with daily activities, including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.

2. Medication Administration & Treatment

Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed.
Ensure correct dosage, timing, and patient response to medications.
Assist in wound care, dressing changes, and other minor procedures.

3. Collaboration with Medical Teams

Assist doctors and specialists during medical examinations and procedures.
Communicate patient conditions, progress, and concerns to physicians.
Work closely with other nurses, paramedics, and healthcare staff.

4. Patient Education & Support

Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.
Provide emotional support and counseling to patients.
Ensure patients understand treatment plans and discharge instructions.

5. Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate medical records and update patient charts.
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and healthcare regulations.
Follow infection control, hygiene, and safety standards.
