Customer Assistance:
- Greet and engage customers, ensuring a welcoming shopping experience.
- Understand customer needs and provide product recommendations.
- Address customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
Sales and Promotions:
- Achieve individual and store sales targets.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Promote ongoing offers, discounts, and loyalty programs.
Inventory Management:
- Assist in stock replenishment, shelf arrangement, and ensuring adequate product availability.
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- Conduct stock audits and report discrepancies to the store manager.
Store Maintenance:
- Ensure shelves and displays are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the store.
- Check product labeling, pricing, and barcode accuracy.
Billing and Cash Handling:
- Operate POS systems efficiently and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
- Issue invoices, receipts, and refunds as per store policies.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the store team to meet daily and monthly sales goals.
- Participate in team meetings and training programs.
- Provide support to other team members during peak hours.
Compliance and Safety:
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper handling of perishable and fragile items.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sales-driven and customer-focused attitude.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and billing software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience: 1-3 years in retail, supermarket, or sales roles (freshers may be considered).
- Familiarity with supermarket product categories and inventory systems is a plus.
- Work schedule may include weekends and public holidays.
- Standing and physical activity for extended periods may be required.
