Job Description
Responsibilities:
Advise students on study abroad program options, application processes, and eligibility requirements.
Conduct information sessions, workshops, and pre-departure orientations for prospective study abroad students.
Assist students with application procedures, including visa applications, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities.
Liaise with international partner institutions to facilitate student placements and coordinate logistics.
Monitor student progress and provide guidance and support to ensure academic and personal success abroad.
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and host country regulations regarding international education.
Maintain accurate records of student interactions, applications, and program participation.
Develop and maintain promotional materials and online content related to study abroad programs.
Collaborate with faculty and departmental staff to integrate study abroad opportunities into academic curricula.
Respond to inquiries from students, parents, and faculty regarding study abroad programs and policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in international education, counseling, or a related field.
Previous experience in an advisory or counseling role, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong understanding of international education programs and requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations.
Proficiency in using standard office software and online communication platforms.
Willingness to travel occasionally for program site visits and professional development.
Fluency in a foreign language is advantageous.
