Job Description
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Raises vehicle axle.
Removes wheels.
Replaces defective brake shoe units or attaches new linings to brake shoes.
Measures brake drum to determine amount of wear.
Inserts vacuum gauge into power-brake cylinder, starts engine and reads gauge to detect brake-line leaks.
Repairs or replaces leaky brake cylinders.
Repairs or replaces defective air compressor in air brake systems.
Fills master brake cylinder with brake fluid.
Replaces wheel on axle and adjusts drum shoe clearance.
Drives customers' vehicles to test the quality of work performed.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Attends manufacturer product training as requested.
Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
Other tasks as assigned.
