Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our growing team. This role is a blend of technical expertise and sales ability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling technically complex products or services to clients, understanding their requirements, and providing customized solutions. The Technical Sales Engineer acts as the key technical advisor and product advocate, supporting both pre- and post-sales activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets. Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and industry events. Achieve or exceed sales targets consistently.

Client Interaction: Understand customer requirements, applications, and pain points. Recommend suitable products or solutions to meet their needs effectively.

Technical Presentation: Deliver product presentations, demos, and technical consultations to clients. Translate complex technical details into easy-to-understand information.

Quotation & Proposal Management: Prepare detailed technical proposals, quotations, and tender documents. Follow up on quotes and negotiate pricing, delivery, and contract terms.

Product Knowledge: Maintain deep understanding of the company’s products, services, and industry trends. Keep up to date with technical developments and competitor offerings.

Project Coordination: Work closely with engineering, R&D, and production teams to ensure timely delivery and proper customization of products for clients.

After-Sales Support: Assist customers with installation, troubleshooting, and basic service support. Act as the communication bridge between clients and technical support teams.

Reporting: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales pipeline, and follow-ups. Provide regular updates and sales forecasts to the management team.
Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong technical knowledge in engineering or related field (electrical, electronics, etc.)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to understand and explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical customers

Sales-driven mindset with negotiation and persuasion skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team

Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and basic technical drawing software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) is a plus
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, IT, or related field)

Experience in technical sales or a related role preferred

Freshers with strong technical understanding and communication skills may also apply
