Job Description
- Maintenance & Repair: Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair faults for optimal lift performance.
- Testing: Perform testing, commissioning, and pre-commissioning checks, resolve malfunctions, and oversee the installation process until handover.
Key Responsibilities:

Installation of Lift Systems:
The Lift Technician is involved in the installation of new lift systems, including elevators, escalators, and other types of lifts. This includes setting up the mechanical, electrical, and control components of the lift system according to the manufacturer’s specifications and industry standards. Technicians must ensure that all parts are correctly installed, properly aligned, and functioning before the system is commissioned. -
Maintenance of Lift Systems:
Routine maintenance is essential to the long-term operation of lift systems. The technician is responsible for conducting scheduled inspections and maintenance on lift equipment. This includes lubricating parts, checking cables, ensuring doors and sensors are functioning, testing electrical components, and verifying safety mechanisms like emergency brakes, alarm systems, and power backup systems. -
Repairs and Troubleshooting:
When lift systems experience malfunctions, the technician must diagnose and resolve the issues efficiently. This involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or software-related problems, identifying the cause of the malfunction, and carrying out repairs or replacements. Technicians are responsible for ensuring minimal downtime, restoring service as quickly as possible, and ensuring all repairs comply with safety standards. -
