Job Description
KRA’s of Tele caller - Collection Officer
1. Collection officer will be responsible for collection of soft and/ or hard bucket accounts under delinquency as allocated by the reporting authority.
2. Collection officer will pursue the borrowers through telephonic calls or Whatsapp.
3. Collection officer will pursue the borrowers in hard bucket through compromises/ negotiated settlement as per prior approval of management only.
4. Collection officer will provide all help to recovery department with regard to service of court summons, delivery of court orders, Arbitration awards and Arbitration notices etc. as may be required from time to time and instructed by the company officials.
5. Collection officer will report all the work through proper reports (through prescribed format).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Outbound Collection Calls:

Make a high volume of daily outbound calls to customers with overdue payments.

Remind customers of their outstanding dues in a professional and courteous manner.

Educate customers on payment options, due dates, and consequences of non-payment.

Handle objections and queries related to loan accounts, payment schedules, penalties, or interest charges.
2. Negotiation and Recovery:

Persuasively negotiate with customers to ensure timely payments or installment arrangements.

Offer payment solutions such as restructuring, payment extensions, or settlements as per company policy.

Convince customers to make full or partial payments on outstanding balances to meet monthly collection targets.
3. Recordkeeping and Data Entry:

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment commitments, and call outcomes in the CRM or collection system.

Update daily call logs, follow-up notes, and payment details in compliance with internal procedures.

Flag high-risk or delinquent accounts to the Collection Manager for further action or field visits.
4. Compliance and Confidentiality:

Ensure all collection activities adhere to regulatory and legal guidelines (e.g., RBI norms, NBFC/Bank policies).

Handle customer data with care and ensure complete confidentiality at all times.

Avoid coercive language, threats, or harassmentt during communication with customers.
5. Customer Support and Problem Solving:

Assist customers who are facing genuine financial difficulties by directing them to appropriate internal departments or solutions.

Listen actively and identify potential customer service issues that could affect payment behavior.

Escalate complex queries or unresolved cases to the relevant team in a timely manner.
6. Reporting and Targets:

Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly recovery targets as set by management.

Submit periodic reports on collection performance, accounts recovered, and pending follow-ups.

Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to improve performance and stay updated on collection strategies.
7. Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with the accounts, legal, and field collection teams to ensure unified and consistent recovery efforts.

Coordinate with skip tracing or address verification teams for customers who are unresponsive or untraceable.
