Job Description

Responsibilities:

Installation: Plan and install telecommunications systems, including equipment, routers, switches, and cables.

Maintenance: Maintain the network by troubleshooting, repairing outages, and testing back-up procedures.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve network and telecommunications system malfunctions.

Customer service: Provide customer service and resolve any problems.

Documentation: Document the network by labeling and routing equipment and cables, and recording configuration diagrams and specifications.

Testing: Test circuits, equipment, and alarms to verify service.

Emergency calls: Respond to emergency calls in the event of a system failure.

Software changes: Make software changes in digital switches using a personal computer.

Adjustments: Make precision adjustments on switches, relays, and other electrical control devices.

Requirements:

A legal driver's license

Ability to pass a criminal background check

Familiarity with networking

Ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch

Ability to climb ladders

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and carry 25 lbs.
