Key Responsibilities:

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair overhead and underground transmission lines (Voltage level: 69 KV to 230 KV).

Climb poles, towers, and structures using appropriate climbing gear or operate aerial lift equipment.

Perform live-line and de-energized maintenance using hot sticks and other specialized tools.

String and sag conductors, install insulators, splicing, and tensioning of lines.

Interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and line construction standards.

Conduct inspections to detect damage, corrosion, or wear on lines and hardware.

Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, cranes, tensioners, and pullers.

Follow strict safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Work closely with engineers, foremen, and other crew members to coordinate activities.

Respond to emergencies such as storm damage or outages, often on-call and outside normal working hours.
