ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATIONAL:
- Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Technology from any recognized University.
Or
Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) in the relevant field i.e. Aeronautical.
(Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.)
Or
Associate Member of Aeronautical Society of India (AMASI) in the relevant field i.e. Aeronautical. (Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.)
- 01 year experience in relevant field i.e. Aeronautical from a recognized organization.
(i) The term recognized organization for 01 year essential experience in the relevant field i.e. Aeronautical shall include offices of the Central Government, State Government, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings, Semi Government, Statutory, Autonomous Organization and Companies registered under the Company Act, 2013.
(ii) The qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Age:
- Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date.
- Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/order issued by Govt. of India from time to time. For age concession applicable to some other categories of applicants, please see relevant para of the “instructions and Additional Information to candidates for Recruitment by Selection.”
Pay Scale:
- Level- 07 in the pay matrix (Rs. 44900-142400)
DUTIES:
- Inspection and Quality Assurance of Military Aircraft, Aero Engines & their Allied Systems, Air Armament, Airborne and Ground Equipment during their Manufacture, Overhauling and indigenization.
Selection Process:
- The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for an interview.
- In the event of the number of applications being large, the commission will adopt short-listing criteria to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number.
- The category-wise minimum level of suitability in interviews, irrespective of whether the selection is made only by interview or by Recruitment Test followed by an interview, will be UR/ EWS-50 marks, OBC-45 marks, SC/ ST/ PwBD-40 marks, out of the total marks of interview being 100.
- In cases where selection is made by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by an interview, the candidate will have to achieve a minimum level of suitability in their respective category at the Interview stage.
