Job Description
Job Requirement for the post of Video Editor (Full Time)
About the Video Editor’s responsibilities include:
1. Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
2. Take a brief to hold production team’s needs and specifications.
3. Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film, assembling raw footage and transferring or uploading it to a computer.
4. Follow the script and screenplay/outline add sound effects that enhance what's being shown on-screen through music selections plus voice-over, effects, graphics to enhance footage.
5. Good Video Editors are storytellers, listeners, and problem solvers. Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running. Digitally merging film and video and synchronizing them into one rough cut file.
6. Improving and correcting lighting, colouring and faulty footage. Create rough and final cuts.
7. Working closely with directors to present a final product that matches vision.
8. Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
Those who can apply:
1. Education: Graduate/Post-Graduate with Film making, cinematography / Video Editing course
2. Experience - Min 1 to 3 years’ experience with well-versed knowledge of Video Editing in Video film making/ Documentaries/Ads Films / TVC. (Proven work experience as a Video Editor)
3. Software knowledge and Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects / Final Cut Pro X Version)
4. Additional advantage for VFX, Animation, graphics etc. Creative mind and story board line up
5. Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio. Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity. Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing. Creative mind and storytelling skills
6. Video editing ability with a good Creative mind & passion.
7. Well versed with Marathi & English languages (Additional Advantage for Marathi writing skills)
8. Should be located within 5-10 Kms Range of Aundh, Pune.
9. Should have relevant skills and interests
