Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and creative Video Journalist to produce compelling news stories and video content for digital and broadcast platforms. The ideal candidate should have experience in video shooting, editing, storytelling, and reporting to capture engaging visual narratives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Video Production & Filming
- Shoot high-quality news reports, interviews, and documentaries.
- Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for video production.
- Travel to news locations, press conferences, and field assignments.
2. Storytelling & Reporting
- Research and develop engaging story ideas and scripts.
- Conduct interviews with public figures, eyewitnesses, and experts.
- Ensure accuracy and credibility in news reporting.
3. Video Editing & Post-Production
- Edit videos using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Add voiceovers, subtitles, graphics, and background music to enhance video quality.
- Ensure videos are optimized for social media, TV, and web platforms.
4. Social Media & Digital Distribution
- Upload and promote content on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and news websites.
- Stay updated on trending topics and viral video formats.
- Collaborate with digital teams to optimize content reach.
5. Compliance & Ethical Reporting
- Follow journalistic ethics and media laws.
- Ensure factual accuracy and avoid biased reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in investigative journalism.
