Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Passenger Handling Services

Assist passengers during the check-in process, including verifying tickets, passports, visas, and travel documents.

Issue boarding passes and luggage tags.

Provide directions and assistance throughout the airport terminals.

Help with special needs passengers, such as the elderly, unaccompanied minors, or individuals with disabilities.

Make boarding announcements and coordinate boarding gates.
2. Baggage and Cargo Handling
-
Ensure all checked-in luggage is properly tagged and sent to the correct aircraft.

Handle fragile or oversized items according to safety protocols.

Assist in baggage claim operations by guiding passengers to the appropriate carousel and helping retrieve lost or delayed luggage.

Support cargo loading and unloading procedures and ensure proper documentation is completed.
3. Ramp Services and Aircraft Assistance

Guide aircraft to and from the gates using hand signals or light wands.

Position ground support equipment such as stairs, baggage carts, and tow tractors.

Assist with aircraft refueling, cleaning, and water servicing.
-
Coordinate aircraft pushback and towing as per schedule.
-
Ensure that all safety procedures and aviation regulations are followed on the ramp.
4. Flight Coordination and Communication

Coordinate with airline staff, air traffic control, and ground crew to ensure on-time departures and arrivals.

Monitor flight schedules and relay changes or delays to relevant departments and passengers.

Update flight information displays and communicate schedule changes to passengers.
5. Customer Service and Problem Solving

Address passenger concerns and resolve issues related to ticketing, boarding, and luggage.

Provide information about flight status, airport facilities, security procedures, and connecting flights.

Handle customer complaints and escalate major issues to supervisors if needed.

Maintain a calm and courteous demeanor during high-pressure situations such as delays or cancellations.
