When MECL jobs are discoursed a valid GATE score is mandatory for office trainees and engineering trainees. The position also requires an engineering graduation or a post-graduation with specialization such as Geology, chemistry, Geophysics, and Geology. For roles like foreman, mineralogist and machinist qualifications would be ITI, Diploma courses and MSc courses. Computer science and IT would be required for junior programmer postings in MECL.
